Making Space For Fall
Cleaning out my closet and making space for my favorite season + everything on my fall wishlist
I’ve spent the past few weeks doing a thorough closet clean-out in preparation for my upcoming sale on Depop this Friday (10/11). After more than a decade as a loyal Poshmark seller, I recently switched to Depop due to the crazy Poshmark seller fees.
I’m extremely meticulous when it comes to clearing out my closet—I try on everything and carefully decide whether to keep, sell, donate, or repair each item.
The “sell” pile includes anything I haven’t worn in over a year, pieces I love but that don’t suit me—whether because of the shape or color—and items that no longer fit. The “donate” pile is for things I don’t think would sell well online, like running shorts or leggings, or items that are no longer in style and not worth the effort of listing on Depop. I also donate workwear and office attire to Bottomless Closet, which supports women in NYC entering the workforce (check it out here if you're interested).
