Every year, like clockwork, the week after Christmas, my mom and I would cram into the car and embark on a highly strategic shopping trip. The route was always the same: JOANN’s, Barnes & Noble, Big Lots, Michaels, and Target, all in pursuit of Christmas decor, wrapping paper, and gift boxes marked down 70–90%. It was there, amid the post-holiday chaos, that I learned an essential truth: January is the time to shop, not December (which is probably why I’m so reluctant to churn out gift guides).
That said, I’ve been scouring the internet for treasures—this time with spring and summer on my mind. This is usually when I stock up on swimsuits and sandals, and I’ve found a few gems to share.
Also, a reminder that anything I make from affiliate links (some of these links below) will be donated to the National Day Laborer Organizing Network.
Highlights

This pair of Vagabond boots has been in my cart for a while and as I went to pull the trigger I realized they are now 40% off.
At Originally $289, this is a great deal. I’m shocked it hasn’t sold out yet. But Reformation tends to add new pieces later on during its sale, which is when I like to dive in and take a peek. The sale has also just hit its peak at 70%.
I’ll tell anyone who will listen that the Clean Eileen by Nudie Jeans are the best jeans money can buy. This pair is on sale for $140, which is about the lowest Nudie Jeans will usually go.
Lastly, this wool coat by COS, is a dream! I tried this on in person and a Small worked for me. It's still oversized enough for a chunky knit.

Summer Things

Shoes
I sense an Espadrille comeback this summer…

A perfect slip-on.
I have these St. Agni slides in a slightly different version. They took a few wears to break in but now they are my favorite city (far enough away from the ground) sandals.
